NDC don’t deserve a second term – NPP Regional Youth Organiser

Abetifi Kwahu, Oct. 22, GNA – Mr Annor Dompreh, the Eastern Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that a second term for President John Atta Mills and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be a “disaster” for the country. He said NDC has performed abysmally since it took over the administration of the country over the past 18 months, saying “It will be disastrous to entrust the destiny of the country into their hands again come 2012”.

Mr Dompreh said this when he addressed the Presbyterian University College (PUC), branch of the Tertiary Student Confederacy (TESCON), of the NPP at Abetifi on Thursday.

The students mostly in their first year were taken through the historical background of the NPP and the TESCON, role of students in Ghanaian politics, the policies of the NPP government and why the party should be voted back to party in 2012.

Mr Dompreh expressed concern about high school fees at the second cycle and the tertiary level, adding that it would only give the rich an opportunity to have better education than the poor.

He urged the students to go all out and preach the good policies of the NPP to the people and why the party should come back to party in 2012. Mr Dompreh said the number of labour unrests among university teachers, polytechnic teachers, nurses and other public workers, attested that the NDC government had failed the nation.

He commended TESCON, especially PUC branch for their roles in the 2008 campaign, which resulted in the party retaining all the three parliamentary seats in the Kwahu area. 22 Oct. 10
