NDC candidate poised to wrest Tema West from NPP

Tema, Aug. 10, GNA – Mr. George Medie, National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Tema West constituency at the weekend expressed the confidence to capture the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Interacting with the youth after an entertainment programme, he said his dynamism, coupled with hard work was convincing enough for him to win massively.

Mr Medie, a contractor said success would not be achieved on a silver platter and called for support from the youth by intensifying their campaign and canvass for more votes for the party. He advised them to conduct clean campaigns devoid of insults, uncomplimentary statements but rather defend the party’s achievements to enable the electorate to have the opportunity to compare with the NPP’s governance to make informed choices.

Mr Medie gave the assurance to involve the youth in all developmental projects and decision-making processes as well as present their views to parliament when given the nod as an MP.

He said the NDC was not a violent party as perceived by some critics and urged the entire members in the constituency to prove them wrong by putting up good behaviour and let discipline manifest in their lives to win more sympathizers into their folds to brighten the chances of the party to win the upcoming elections.

To avert clashes with the opposing parties during the elections, the candidate urged them to remain clam and resolute even in the face of provocation. 10 Aug. 08
