NDC Ashanti Regional Chairman receives death threats

Kumasi, June 4, GNA – The Police in Ashanti Region are investigating death threats on the Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Mr Yaw Owusu Obimpeh said he has received threats on his life through anonymous mobile phone text messages. The NDC Regional Chairman told GNA that he had made a formal report to the Police in Kumasi. Mr Owusu said he would not be intimidated or frightened by the threats adding that “This could only come from cowards”. He said he would not speculate why anybody or group within or outside the NDC might want to harm him.
