The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE, has been ransacked by thieves and made away with valuable items, Desktop Computers and accessories, PA system, spare tyres, Pull up, and storage box.
The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal NCCE Director, Mad Martha Nneka Opara narrated their ordeal to Awuku Addo when he visited the Office ascertain the veracity of the theft upon hearing the devastated story, adding that the thieves further visited CHRAJ, Audit Department and Electoral Commission’s store and had some items stolen there as well ( Main switch, electrical wires, main service line, and Air Condition) .
Mad Martha Nneka Opara again indicated that they have all reported the incident to the Police pending investigation.
According to her the NCCE and the CHRAJ Offices seem to be a bit neglected by the Assembly due to where they are situated so their structure have not been renovated for so many years now and again they don’t have security and laborers to safeguard the area and to tidy up the place when it is weddy , a situation she said they will as a matter of urgency notify the new MCE for solution.
