Navrongo municipal security committee investigates fire disaster

The Navrongo Municipal Security Committee has set up a committee to investigate the cause of the fire that gutted the Navrongo market over the weekend.

Several stores and sheds were destroyed by the said firestorm at the Navrongo market.

The cause of it is yet to be established but the Kassena-Nankana Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Andema, in an interview said ‘The committee will get to know at least how many people and shops that have been affected so far.’

He disclosed that only one person got injured and was responding to treatment at the Navrongo Government hospital.

The nation has recently been hit with such firestorms and some of the affected markets include that of the Kumasi central, Madina and Mallam markets.
