Navrongo Central voters go “skirt and blouse”

Bolgatanga, Dec 8, GNA – Mr. Joseph Kofi Adda, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Navrongo Central, has retained the seat winning the polls with 14,354 votes after a keen contest with Mr. Mark Woyongo of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who pulled 13,224 votes. The NDC however won the presidential vote, the first time in three elections. It got 14,218 votes to beat the NPP, which had 13,867 votes. The People’s National Convention parliamentary candidate, Gabriel Pwamang, had 4,026, while the Convention People’s Party candidate, Mr. Anuga Fortunate, pulled 133 votes. PNC’s Dr. Edward Mahama got 4,394 while the Democratic Freedom Party got 147. The Democratic People’s Party (DPP) got 24. The rest are Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum of the CPP who got 195 votes, the Reform Patriotic Democrats got 17 votes and independent candidate, 73 votes. Rejected ballots for the presidential candidate vote were 1,226, while that of parliamentary was 870.
