Nations FC head coach Frimpong Manso has delivered a stern message to his squad, questioning the commitment of some players as the club continues to battle for form in the Ghana Premier League.
Manso, who stepped in to replace Kasim Mingle earlier in the season, has recorded just one win in his first four matches. His frustration deepened after Nations FC fell to a 2-1 defeat against Berekum Chelsea, a result that has left the club hovering above the relegation zone.
Speaking to Vision FM, the experienced tactician did not mince words.
“Those who want to play, I will let them play, and it does not matter who you are,” he said. “If you are not serious and don’t want to play for the team, I don’t care. I am going for those who are serious.”
Manso revealed that he attempted to foster unity within the squad upon his arrival, but insists some players have shown little commitment to the club’s collective objectives.
“When I was appointed, I tried to unite the team, but some players still behave as if they are not serious,” he noted. “Whether intentional or not, I don’t want to dwell on that. Those who are serious will play; those who are not ready to go with me, I leave behind.”
Nations FC currently sit 14th on the league table with 10 points, placing pressure on Manso to turn things around quickly. The team now shifts focus to Matchday 11, where they host defending champions Bibiani GoldStars, another stern test for a side seeking momentum and renewed discipline.
Supporters will be watching closely to see whether the coach’s uncompromising stance sparks a reaction from the squad in the coming weeks.
