The National Service Authority (NSA) is planning to restore its online portal after a period of shutdown for a forensic audit. The portal’s closure was related to investigations into the 2023/2024 service year.
The audit aimed to ensure transparency and accountability in the processing of national service applications. While a specific date for the portal’s reopening has not been announced, it is expected to be available soon.
Speaking with the Director General of NSA, Felix Gyamfi, emphasized that the President directed them to do the audit to know the kind of system they are using, and that process is still ongoing, and so is very important to allow the audit service to do their work, so that they can have the confidence to come out with the findings to know either to maintain it or to change the system.
He said he is very sure that it won’t be long before to verify the report, and they will submit it to the president. And once the president makes a decision, they are bound to go by it.
The restored portal is expected to streamline the registration process, address previous issues, and enhance the overall efficiency of the system.
