National Security to meet UTAG over strike

The National Security is expected to meet the leadership of the striking university teachers today.

This follows a request from President Mahama for a suspension of the strike. The teachers started the strike last week to demand payment of arrears and allowances.

They have refused to call off their strike despite assurances from government that their monies have been released.

Kakraba Dakubu, Vice President of UTAG said they have heard the appeal of the president adding that its National Executive Committee would meet on Monday to decide whether they call off their strike or not.
