National Prayer Conference on Wednesday

Accra, May 23, GNA – The Second National Mission Africa Prayer Conference organised by Mission Africa Incorporated, a California-based Christian Non-profit Organization in collaboration with Parliament of Ghana, would be held in Accra on Wednesday to coincide with Africa Day. In a statement, Dr Kodjoe Sumney, Founder and President of Mission Africa Inc., said the prayer conference would focus on the Dagbon crisis, national reconciliation, poverty reduction, debt relief, HIV/AIDS control as well as the homecoming of successful African professionals in the Diaspora to contribute to national development. He said the participants would also pray for the African Union, ECOWAS, good governance, breakthrough in scientific interventions and better relationship between Africa and the industrialized world.

Dr Sumney said the Speaker Mr Begyina Sekyi-Hughes, Dr Konadu Apraku, Minister of Regional Cooperation and NEPAD and Mr Edward Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Zeo Ministries, would address the conference. He described last year’s conference, which was addressed by the former Speaker of Parliament, Mr Peter Ala Adjetey, Dr Konadu Apraku and Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amotia Ofori Panin, as very successful. He said the 1,000 participants displayed a unity of purpose in praying for peace, stability and acceleration development in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
