National Identification exercise to start in Brong-Ahafo

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has appointed 238 registration officers to undertake the forthcoming registration exercise in Nkoranza South and North Districts .

Mr. Solomon Gyabaah, Nkoranza Area registration Officer told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nkoranza that the officials would be deployed at 111 registration centres in the two districts.

He said the officials comprised 111 registration officers and 127 assistants and a mobile team that would visit offices, hospitals, financial institutions, schools and lorry stations to register people.

Mr Gyabaah said the exercise would last for 10 days in the two areas and appealed to assembly members, traditional authorities and Unit Committees to ensure the welfare and security of the registration officers.
