National Commission For Civic Education Urged To Live Exemplary Lives

Donkorkrom (Eastern Region), Oct. 14 Dr. J. E. Oppong, Deputy Chairman of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has said the commission’s constitutional leadership role demands that its personnel must be beyond reproach. It is not right for us to educate the people about their code of conduct while we act in breach of the spirit and letter of the same code. Dr. Oppong, who is responsible for finance and administration, was addressing the staff of the NCCE at Donkorkrom to round off a three-day visit. Dr. Oppong called on private investors and local entrepreneurs to exploit the rich agricultural potentials of the Afram Plains. He said the improved road network coupled with electricity and telephone facilities make the area an attractive spot for investors. Dr. Oppong also paid a courtesy call on Lt-Col. Lord Sarfo (rtd), District Chief Executive of Afram Plains.
