Authorities at the National Blood Service say the various blood banks are in dire need of blood.
According to the National Blood Bank, the current stock available for distribution to various hospitals is low and creating a crisis situation.
Speaking to XYZ News, Public Relations Officer of the blood Service, Steven Addai Baah said, the current status of the blood bank leaves much to be desired.
He wants Ghanaians to volunteer by donating blood.
The Blood Bank has not been able to meet many requests from some health posts due to shortage of blood at the blood bank.
