Takoradi, May 24, GNA – The Eastern Nzema Traditional Council on Mon day said it authorized the Simale Kpanyinli Royal Family of Anwia to enstool Nana Simale Kpanyinli V as the Chief of Anwia.
In a resolution adopted at a recent meeting of the Council and relea sed to the media at Takoradi, it said according to tradition and custom, Sima le Kpanyinli Royal Family had the right to enstool a chief for Anwia. The resolution was signed by Nana Etwi Kpanyinli, Acting President o f the Traditional Council, Awulae Hema Arvon Nyima, Paramount Queenmother a nd other 31 members of the Council.
It said the Council would not sit down unconcerned for some persons to undermine the peace and stability in the traditional area because of the installation of Nana Kpanyinli for their own personal interests. The Council expressed concern that the Kwasi Beyedon Family at Anwia
was acting contrary to tradition and customs of the area and was promotin g violence and inciting the youth against licensed companies in the area. It accused the Reverend Anthony Nyame of the Kwasi Beyedon Family of being behind the confusion.
