Nana must apologise for tagging Alan “troublesome” – Ephson

Pollster Ben Ephson has taken a swipe at the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo for describing his former contender Alan Kyerematen as “troublesome”.

During his “Rise and Build” tour in the Brong Ahafo region, Nana Addo was delighted to have been joined by his former contestants in the flagbearer race in a bid to drum home the need for unity within the party.

“Let’s be united and forge ahead. I know it’s God’s making that there are a lot of dignitaries following me today on the tour. Addai Nimo, Joe Ghartey, Kofi Konadu is here and the most troublesome Alan Kyerematen is also here,” the three-time presidential candidate of the Elephant family said.

However, in an interview with Kasapa FM’s Maame Broni, Ephson noted that Nana Addo may have said that jokingly, but such comment could deepen the woes of the divided party.

“The use of the word troublesome, if Nana does not come out to correct and give the right impression, it will deepen the Nana-Alan faction problems in the NPP. He can hide behind jokes, but it may have deeper meanings than a mere joke,” the editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper said.
