Nana Dankwa Art in Broadway Gallery NYC

Nana Dankwa was born in Kumasi, Ghana. In the early 80?s he studied and followed private art lessons at the University of Science and Technology (Faculty of Fine Arts) by Dr. Kojdo Edusei in Kumasi, Ghana. An all round artist making oil paintings, acryl wall paintings, ceramic/wood sculptures, metal castings, theater, scripts and designing and directing performance with special effect. Both western education and African myths told by the great-grand-mother in his youth at the village has evolved in an impact already in him which adds feather research in the world of painting.

Freedom-sadness, Africa-the western, humanity survival, nature-technology, and traditional worthiness stays of constant importance to him and reflect the themes he uses in his artwork.

Nana Dankwa lives in Antwerp with his family, but travels regularly between Antwerp and The Netherlands and other European countries.
