The partnership of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, a laywer, and his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, an economist and banker, is a great team to deliver Ghana from the economic difficulties it is currently saddled with, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, wife of the NPP flagbearer, has said.
Speaking at a forum in Accra on Wednesday July 20, Mrs Akufo-Addo said: “I can also assure you that the combination of Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia [a former deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana] will be a great team for Ghana, so I am pleading with you [to] give Nana [Akufo-Addo] a chance this year and he will not disappoint you.”
She further stated: “[I] give you the assurance that my husband Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will come and make things better for Ghana”.
“We are all feeling the pinch at the moment; it’s a fact and we should accept it and we need a good leader, a better manager of this country, and I can assure you that he is the better manager for Ghana who will move us forward, so that we can have employment for our children who finish school, who are sitting at home without jobs. We can have a better economy”.
