The Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party for the 2012 elections, Nana Akomea has justified the overthrow of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
According to him, Dr. Nkrumah could only be changed through a coup de’tat at the time since it was illegal for any political party to operate in Ghana.
He said, Dr. Nkrumah had made himself life President which was not the best for Ghana.
