Nana Adusei Atwenewa storms Columbus for Asanteman Day

Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem I, Paramount Chief of Tepa Traditional Area, is expected to grace this year’s Asanteman Day in Columbus, Ohio in the USA.

Thousands of people, including various Asanteman associations in the diaspora, are expected to attend the annual event to showcase their culture and heritage.

Nana Osei Hyiaman Brantuo VI, Otumfuo’s Manwerehene would be present at the ceremony.

The event, which commences on September 3 to 4,2016 is aimed at educating the general public about the traditions and culture of the Asante Kingdom that have had a worldwide impact on civilization.

“Establishing a network of Asantes, friends and sympathizers of Asantes in the Diaspora to help support; initiate businesses and development projects for the well-being and development of Asante Kingdom in particular and Ghana in general,” the organizers added.
