Nana Addo’s Aide Denies Planned Press Conference Speculation

An aide to Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, Samuel Abu Jinapor has denied speculations of a planned press conference by the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Flagbearer this week to speak on Kennedy Agyepong’s recent ethnocentric statement.

Monday’s edition of the informer newspaper carried a story of a planned press conference by Nana Addo in defence of the NPP firebrand’s controversial statement. The NPP Flagbearer has come under severe criticism for his silence over the divisive statements in some circles, but Samuel Jinapor insists the Flagbearer as a member of the NPP is bound by the earlier statement released by the party on the matter.

He has however declined any further comment on the issue.
