Nana Addo comforts supporters

The 2012 Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has called on party supporters to exercise restraint as the party leadership meets on Tuesday to discuss the next line of action.

According to him, representatives from across the country will be present to confer on the way forward for the party.

“The national executives will meet on Tuesday to decide on what to do. People will come from Wa, Bolgatanga, the regional chair persons will make up the national executives so we will meet on Tuesday so please for the time been, relax, we will address this matter.”

Addressing party supporters after the announcement of the winner of the 2012 elections, Nana Akufo-Addo gave the assurance that the NPP will take up the matter of rigged elections.

Nana Akufo-Addo lost the 2012 Presidential elections to his main contender, the President and candidate of the National Democratic Congress. The latter was therefore declared President elect by the Electoral Commission on Sunday, December 9, 2012.
