Nampong Headmaster appeals for completion of GETFund projects

The Headmaster of Namong Senor High Technical School in the Offinso Municipality, Mr. Victor Owusu-Ansah, has appealed for the completion of a three-storey classroom block started for the school in 2007.

He said this has become necessary to create more space for effective teaching and learning.

He was speaking when Nana Asiama Poku Afrifa II, a Member of the Council of State visited the school on Wednesday as part of an inspection tour.

Mr. Owusu-Ansah said with 2,822 as the current student population, the completion of the structure would significantly help to increase student admission in the coming academic year.

He called for the construction of an assembly and a dining hall to replace the temporary structure they are now using, saying apart from the classroom, GETFund is also building dormitories for both boys and girls.

Nana Poku Afrifa, who is the Chief of Toase, also inspected other on-going school projects in the Atwima-Nwabiagya, Offinso and Afigya-Kwabre districts and promised to bring the concerns raised to the attention of the appropriate authorities for action.

He advised the students to be disciplined and to keep to their books.**
