Name Job 600 after Prez Mills – NDC MP

The NDC Member of Parliament for Shai-Osu Doku, David Assumeng has suggested that the Job 600 building be named after the late President Mills.

The structure which is currently undergoing renovation is expected to be completed this month to serve as permanent offices for Members of Parliament.

David Assumeng in an interview with XYZ News said it will not be out of place to name the place after President Mills since the late president was interested in the well-being of Parliamentarians.

“He [President Mills] had the welfare of Members of Parliament at heart. He committed himself to the development of the Parliamentary system so it would not be out of place to set such a monument in his memory” Hon. Assumeng said.

He added that “I believe that the Job 600 which is currently being renovated would be one of the best edifices to name him after.

“When I have the opportunity to contribute towards the tribute on the floor I will continue to stress this point that the building be named after the late President”.**
