Nadowli North NDC Chairman To Apologise To Bagbin

The branches of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Nanvilli, Charikpong and Sankana in the Nadowli North Constituency have called on the constituency chairman of the party, Mr. Issahaque Dapilah, to render an unqualified apology to the minority leader and Member of Parliament for the area, Mr. Alban Bagbin.

They said the allegations made by Mr. Dapilah against Mr. Bagbin had not only dented the image of the Mr. Bagbin but also brought the NDC into disrepute. ?We, therefore, demand nothing but an unqualified apology from Mr. Dapilah, they added. These were contained in separate statements issued in Wa in the Upper West Region in reaction not allegations in the media that Mr. Bagbin was booed and jeered at Navilli, Charikpong and Sankana. The branches said it came to them as a surprise that a personality like a constituency party chairman would come with such a false statement.

?IF the party chairman is interested in the position, the NDC, being a democratic party, will organize a primary to determine who becomes the candidate,? the statement said. The statement assured the entire membership of the party in the district, the region and the whole country that they would always support Mr. Bagbin to enable him accomplish his development vision.

It said the branches would forever support the minority leader because he is a national asset. The statement advised Mr. Dapilah not to jump the gun, for the people of the constituency would determine who the better choice at primary was.
