NADMO presents relief items to victims of rainstorm at Techimantia

Techimantia (B/A), Feb. 23, GNA – The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), on Monday presented relief items to victims of a recent rainstorm at Techimantia in Tano North District of the Brong Ahafo Region. The items that were donated through the initiative of Dr. Hannah Louisa Eisiw, a citizen of the town, resident in Accra, included 50 packets of roofing sheets, 200 pieces of blankets, 50 bags of rice, 300 pairs of Wellington boots, 500 plastic cups, 500 plastic plates and bales of used clothing.

Presenting the items, Mrs. Bennis Azumah, chairperson of Tano North constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) called for equitable distribution of the items. Alhaji Awudu Ariff, Deputy National Organiser of NDC, called on the people to plant tree seedlings to serve as windbreaks. Nana Oti Ampem II, chief of the town, who received the items on behalf of the victims, commended Dr. Eisiw and NADMO for the assistance.
