NADMO Co-ordinator elected PM for Adansi North

Fomena (Ash), Nov. 21, GNA 96 Mr Marcellus Kow Frieku, 43, has been elected the new Presiding Member (PM) for the Adansi North district assembly in the Ashanti region.

Mr Frieku, who is the NADMO Co-ordinator for the district, got all the votes from the 51 members present to become the second PM for the new district.

In his acceptance remarks, he noted that expectations would be very high on him because his predecessor performed creditably. He called on the assembly to come out with local laws that would suit the aspirations of the electorate and subsequently move the assembly forward.

Mr Frieku pleaded with the assembly members for co-operation, patience and tolerance, especially during assembly meetings and urged them to effectively use the local government Act, the Act 462, which outlined the details of the functions of an assembly member. 21 Nov. 06
