Nabdam MP outlines his constituency’s projects

Kongo (U/E), Nov. 10, GNA – Mr. Moses Asaga, the Member of Parliament for Nabdam, has announced a development package including a five-kilometre road project and some dams for the area. Addressing a durbar of chiefs and people at Kongo near Bolgatanga, he said the road would be funded under the government’s Road Sector Development Programme and other development partners including the World Bank.

He said he was working with engineers from the Feeder Roads Department on the designing and costing of the road project. “In addition, small dams and dugouts would be built at Doliga, Damolga and Logre to promote dry season farming,” he said. Mr Asaga said the projects, when completed, would open up the area to agricultural and commercial activity such as animal watering and vegetable cultivation during the dry season.
