Irene Naa Torshie Addo, Member of Parliament for Tema West, has declared her support for the elected parliamentary candidate for the area, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, in order for the party to retain the seat in the December elections.
A video released by UTV showed the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs pleading with the crowd to vote NPP into power during Nana Addo’s campaign tour at Tema West last week.
“Nobody should vote Mahama. I’m pleading with you all to vote Nana Akuffo Addo and for Carlos this coming December elections,” Irene said to the cheering crowd in the 3:28 video.
Carlos Ahenkorah, who was present during the campaign, affirmed Naa Torshie’s claims while urging supporters to continue to support the party.
