N/R Police offers GH¢2,000 for information

Tamale, Feb. 20, GNA- The Northern Region Police Administration has offered GH¢2,000 to anyone, who would volunteer information leading to the death of GL/Cpl Frank Mensah Kpeglo.

It would be recalled that the late Kpeglo reported for duty at the residence of the Deputy Regional Police Commander on the night of February 14, 2008, but was found dead in the morning of February 15. The offer of GH¢2,000 to whoever would volunteer information leading to the murder(s) of the late Kpeglo was contained in a press release issued to the press and signed by the Regional Police Commander, Mr. E.0. Barakatu.

The release said a philanthropist in Tamale, who wants to remain anonymous, had also added GH¢2,000 for the same purpose.

It said that the police suspected foul play and as such had ordered a full-scale investigation into the case.

The police service therefore entreats any member of the general public with any information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators of the crime to contact the Regional Police Commander his Deputy, the Regional Crime Officer or the Police Public Relations Officer.
