N/R NDC endorses parliamentary boycott

Tamale, Feb. 9, GNA – The Northern Regional secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Friday expressed its support for the decision of its National Functional Executive to boycott parliamentary proceedings in solidarity with their jailed colleague, Mr. Dan Abodapki, the Member of Parliament for Keta.

A statement signed by Alhaji Abdulai Haruna, the Regional Secretary of the party, commended the NDC caucus in Parliament for the swift action.

The statement said the party believed the trial was political and called on the leadership and the rank and file of the party to learn lessons and promote unity in the party at all levels to ensure victory for NDC in 2008.
