My spirit is high, keep up yours also – Akufo-Addo

The 2012 flag-bearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says he is in high spirits and has urged his supporters to also be in high spirits.

“My spirit is high, keep up yours also,” Nana Akufo-Addo wrote on his Facebook wall as part of his appreciation to numerous birthday wishes extended to him on his 69th anniversary which fell on Good Friday March 29, 2013.

He said: “Thank you all so very much for the outpouring of good wishes. We thank the Good Lord for His Mercies and for his love. He has been good to me.”

Nana Akufo-Addo, who is challenging the 2012 election results through a petition at the Supreme Court, also expressed appreciation to his Facebook friends and fans for their support.

He said: “…I shall be eternally grateful for your support and love”.

The substance of the Supreme Court petition is yet to be looked at.

Nana Akufo-Addo filed the petition with his running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP’s National Chairman, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey.

They accused the Electoral Commission of colluding with the incumbent National Democratic Congress to massage the election results.
