‘My mother was unperturbed about rumours of her death’

Edward Kufuor, son of former President John Kufuor has revealed to Starr Drive host Bola Ray that his mother, Theresa Kufuor, was unruffled about recent rumours of her death.

The news of the former First Lady’s demise went viral on Facebook and other social media platforms some weeks ago.

The former first family has formally dismissed the reports through the office of the former President.

Commenting on the matter Wednesday, February 11, 2015, the actor said although the reports were strange to the family, his mother was calm about it.

“There were people calling from all sorts of places and asking if the story was true.

“So I went to my mum, I saw her and she was fine…And she said to me : “I heard I’m being reported dead”, and I was kind of worried but she has always been composed,” he narrated.

He, however, urged the media to be circumspect in their reportage of such sensitive matters.
