My gov’t will probe DKM scandal – Akufo-Addo

Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has assured the people of Brong Ahafo that his government will launch full scale investigation into the DKM scandal to determine what really caused the collapse of the micro finance business.

Such inquiry, he noted, shall be extended to find out the issues surrounding the challenges facing the tier two pension funds and the government’s inability to pay the monies owned.

The opposition leader addressing tens of thousands of supporters and sympathizers of the NPP at a rally in Techiman promised total restoration of monies to all the affected in both the DKM scandal and the pension funds.

The former Attorney-General told the people who were chanting his name while addressing them that all the many policies that the elephant family have outlined in their manifesto are attainable.

He further assured that his administration, when voted into power, will work hard to ensure that all the programs and policies outlines in the party’s manifesto are realized.

He says the first budget statement of his government will be well thought through and will result in the reduction of many prices including fuel prices.
