My ‘gallant’ son was my ‘personal advisor’ – Captain Mahama’s father

The late Captain Maxwell Mahama of the 5th Infantry Battalion (5BN), who was murdered by a mob at Denkyira Boase in the Central Region, was alleged by the residents to be an armed robber and lynched on the spot.

This has raised controversies in the general public and the country at large.

Father of the deceased, Capt. Rtd. Dennis Mahama Adam has disclosed that his son was no stranger to the residents and not new to the jogging route.

According to him, the late son had been jogging on the route of the locality since he was stationed and usually does it to keep his health and body in shape.

He further touted the late Capt. Maxwell Mahama as his “personal advisor”, ambitious and a brilliant person who always provided counsel to him.

He said the Chief of Defense Staff together with the Army Commander and others have assured the family of their full support and have also promised to give the late captain a state and befitting burial.
