My dad was a great man – Atta Mills’ son

Sam Kofi Mills, son of late President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills says he is glad to see Ghanaians still remember is father even after five years of his demise.

Speaking to www.ghanaweb.com at the five-year commemoration of the death of his father Monday July 24, Mr. Kofi Mills said, his father deserves to be celebrated because he was a great man.

He said, “I’m happy to see people still remember him. He was a great man.”

Mr. Kofi Mills also discloses that he is leaving no stone unturned in order to keep his father’s legacy on.

He said he misses the times he spent with his late father and will do everything within his power to keep the memories alive.

“I am working hard and the good will of my father is keeping me on. I have good memories of my father. We used to have morning devotions together, travel together, go for walks together, I miss the normal father and son relationship,” he said.

Former President John Evans Atta Mills died on July 24, 2012.
