My account on gun attack twisted-Asiedu Nketia cries out

Chief Scribe of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asideu Nketa is crying wolf over a spin given to his s account of how he was nearly attacked by masked men believed to be members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) earlier this week at Suhum in the Eastern Region.

He accused the media of putting words in his mouth indicating that some of the things he is reported to have said were untrue.

“I have not granted an interview to myjoyonline and they have put a statement out there and concluded that I was not the subject of the attack and all that”, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia fumed.

The victim who earlier spoke on Asempa FM, sister station of Joy FM explained that the portal misrepresented him in giving the account of what exactly happened to him when assailants attempted to attack him.

“You now want to come and find out from me when you have done your conclusion….. what do you need my interview for”, he angrily quizzed.

“You can go and check my official statement at the Suhum Police Station to know the fact”, he advised

“I have issues with people who draw their own conclusion before finding out the fact”, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia revealed ending the interview abruptly.

There are still conflicting accounts as to what actual happened and what could be the motive of the supposed gun-wielding thugs said to have crossed the NDC Secretary while on his way to Accra from the Brong Ahafo region.
