MV Logos II docks at Tema port with books

Tema, Dec. 17, GNA – MV Logos II, a vessel carrying assorted books docked at the Tema Harbour on Friday for an 18-day visit to Ghana. While in the country, the over 180 international crew members from various countries offering voluntary services on board the vessel known as the “Book -Ship” would undertake outreach programmes to hospitals, orphanages, prisons and other needy institutions.

The crew would also hold educational programmes for specific groups such as the youth, pastors and ladies.

The Harbour Master, Captain Victor Jonah told the Ghana News Agency that there would be press conferences on board the vessel after which it would be opened to the public to buy books and for excursion. About five years ago, the Logos II visited the country on a similar mission.
