Mustapha Hamid is a ‘fraudster’ – Alhaji Bature

Managing Editor for the Al-Hajj newspaper and a member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Iddrisu Bature claims Sheikh Mustapha Hamid, spokesperson for Nana Akufo-Addo is not a trustworthy person to be trusted for statements made against the first gentleman of the land.

Mustapha Hamid has alleged in a press conference that President John Dramani Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim Mahama attempted bribing NPP’s Northern Regional Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu, with two SUVs, GHc3.3million, an additional GHc500, 000 and other mouthwatering goodies deceiving him to campaign against Nana Akufo-Addo and painting him as a hater of northerners.

According to Sheikh Hamid, the said bribe was intended to entice Bugri Naabu to fall out with the NPP and help the NDC prosecute its tribal agenda against Nana Akufo-Addo.

However, on Wednesday’s edition of UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, Alhaji Bature intensely lamented “Mustapha Hamid should never be trusted on any allegations made against the NDC or families of the President because he is a fraudster moving from one person to the other to make ends meet.”

He continued with much aggression that “Why should Bugri Naabu involve his party [NPP] when he was gifted as a personality and not in the name of his party. I don’t understand making this known to the public one month after the incident happened and one week to general elections. In fact as a responsible citizen he should have gone to the police station to report the matter if it was true, than taking the money and depositing it into his account.”
