Muslims women present food items to prison inmates.

Nsawam (E/R) Nov. 20, GNA- The Federation of Muslims Women Association of Ghana has presented food and other items to the Muslims inmates of the Nsawam Prisons on Wednesday.

The items include oranges, pineapples, pawpaw and a quantity of second hand clothes.

Hajia Mama Zakari President of the Nsawam branch of the Federation, who made the presentation said the items apart from supporting them to observe the fast, was also to make them acknowledge that their Muslims brothers and sister continue to regard them as part of the society.

She said their present situation should not discourage them from their worships, adding it is to reform them and make them change to a new life.

Superintendent Alhaji Iddi Alhassan Chief Imam of the Prisons, who received the items on behalf of the inmates expressed gratitude to the Federation for its numerous assistance to the Muslims inmates in the prisons over these years.

He gave the assurance that the items would be use for the purpose it was meant for.
