Muslims urged to let festival reflect in their lifestyles

Tepa (Ash), Jan. 23, GNA – Alhaji Nuhu Adam, Chief Imam of the Ahafo-Ano North District of Ashanti, has asked Muslims to let the celebration of the Eid-Ul-Adha reflect in their lifestyles in the coming years.

Addressing a large congregation of Muslims at Tepa during the observation of the festival, he charged them to emulate the prophet Ibrahim who consented to sacrifice his only child in his service to Allah.

Alhaji Adam asked them to be thankful to Allah for ensuring tolerance, peace and stability in the country last year, particularly during the presidential and parliamentary elections.

He also advised them not to forget the poor and destitute in the society during the celebration of the festival.

Alhaji Adam charged Muslims to send their children to school especially the girls to enable them to become responsible citizens in future.
