Muslims urged to learn values of health denial

Mr. Samuel Sarpong, Ashanti Regional Minister, has urged Muslims to learn the values of health denial and continue to submit their ways to Allah.

He asked them to avoid vengeance, violence, gangsterism, indiscipline and other negative acts that affect progress and development.

Mr. Sarpong was speaking at the Central mosque in Kumasi when he joined Muslims to pray as part of activities to mark this year’s Eid-ul Adha -Feast of the sacrifice celebration.

He urged them to remain focused particularly in the years ahead, by strengthening the unity of purpose and understanding that exists between religious organisations and the government.

“As you all know, both government and religious organisations seek a common interest of promoting the well-being of Ghanaians. Ghanaians must, therefore, support government with prayers and rally behind it for the achievement of the vision of President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that Ghanaians everywhere achieve better leaving standards.”

He urged Muslims to encourage their children to acquire secular education, keep their environment clean and also pay their taxes.

“Let’s work together and play our roles well because this nation has the potential to move forward.”

The Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul-Mumin Harun asked Muslims to continue to pray for peace and stability.

He advised them to lead humble and respectful lives and refrain from acts that are likely to bring the religion into dispute.

Sheikh Harun urged them to use the occasion to renew their confidence in Allah and dedicate themselves to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an.
