Muslims urged to be responsible and devoted to work

Tamale, Sept. 21, GNA – Saeed Abubakar, the Spiritual Leader of the Abariya Islamic Institute, has urged Muslims to be dutiful and responsible to contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.

He urged market women not to sell bad or expired products to prospective buyers because of profit, saying, “such acts are ungodly”. Saeed Abubakar was delivering his Eid-Ul Fitr message to a large number of followers in Tamale, on Monday. Beggars were not left out of the celebration as a lot of them paraded around the prayer grounds to beg and make money from generous donors. Some Muslims in Tamale also marked the day with the slaughtering of cows, sheep and fowls for the preparation of sumptuous meals for themselves and to share with friends. 21 Sept. 09
