Muslims told to continue showing kindness

Tema, Oct. 14, GNA – The Greater Accra Regional Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Mission, Maulvi Raghib Zia-ul -Haq on Saturday urged Muslims to support the poor, needy and orphans in society to enable them live comfortable lives.

He led the Ahmadiyya Sect in prayers at Tema to end the 30 days’ Ramadan fast and said while celebrating the Eid-ul-fitr, Muslims should emulate Prophet Mohammed by continuing with the kindness shown during the fasting period.

He said limiting gestures to only the fasting period was against the tenets of Allah and also endeavour to co-exist with others in society to ensure peace.

The Maulvi called for steadfastness in prayers for the sick and endeavour to co-exist with neighbours to ensure peace. As serving two masters always create confusion, Maulvi Zia-ul-Hag impressed upon them to worship only Allah and not to consult idols. Leading the Allasuna Muslim group at the Tema Mante-Din Park Alhaji Abdullai Samad, Tema Municipal Chief Imam urged Muslims to refrain from immoral activities as they were against the teachings of Islam. He also called for unity and tolerance among political parties, presidential/parliamentary aspirants to ensure peaceful election next year.

Mr. David Quaye Annang, Tema Municipal Chief Executive in a message delivered on his behalf urged all religious bodies in the country to pray for the progress of the nation. Mr Annang further called on the public to practice healthy habits and make sure the environment was always clean.
