Muslim Youth Commends Chief Imam

A Muslim youth group based at Bubuashie in Accra, Muslims Youth Association for Insaaniya Services has praised the National Chief Imam Sheik Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu for his courageous and timely intervention in the recent Hohoe crisis.

In a statement issued in Accra last Thursday and signed by its chairman, Malam Habibula, the association said but for the well-timed involvement of the National Chief Imam in the Hohoe conflict, only Allah (God) knows what the situation could have been, and is therefore calling for measures to be taken to forestall future occurrences.

According to the statement, “perhaps, if not for his early steps, only Allah knows what the situation would have been. We therefore appeal that necessary steps should be taken from now on to prevent such a situation from happening”.

The statement said, “we thank you for your good leadership and also seek the blessings of Allah (Subhan hu Wata Allah) for you and we ask for guidance, long life and a better place for you in the hereafter”.

The Muslims Youth Association for Insaaniya Services whiles expressing its profound gratitude to the Almighty Allah for quelling the Hohoe conflict, nevertheless, admonished the state to put in place mechanisms to prevent any future repetition of the unfortunate incident.

The association further stated that, “we decided to express our views now due to the fact that this year is electioneering year, which requires everybody, to be cautious of what they do and what they say…

“We appeal to all our Muslim brothers and sisters to be watchful and prayerful, let us all leave in peace and harmony
