Musah Superior wins Tamale Central

Tamale, May 1, GNA – Mr Iddrissu Musah Superior, a UK-based NPP member used technology to wow delegates to elect him to represent the Tamale Central Constituency as their parliamentary candidate for the 2012 elections.

Before the elections started, Superior addressed the delegates through the internet outlining his vision for the constituency, which drew loud cheers from the crowd giving a clear indication that he had carried the day.

He, consequently, polled 278 votes out of 441 valid votes cast to beat, Iddrisu Sunday and Ismail Yahuza who got 124 and 39 votes respectively.

For the Tamale South constituency, Mr Abdallah Pegu Shamsudeen polled 287 votes to beat Yakubu Yussif who got 129 votes. For the Tamale North Constituency, Mr Akilu Sayibu, another NPP stalwart, who recently returned from the UK, polled 220 of the votes cast to beat Sheik Yakubu Abdul-Karim and Rahinatu Yussif, who polled 108 and eight votes respectively.
