Muntaka Mubarak donates vehicle to Kumasi Chief Imam

Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, Member of Parliament (MP) for Asawasi, has donated a Kia Hyundai mini van to the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul Mumin, at a ceremony at the Central Mosque in Kumasi.

The vehicle worth about 20,000 Ghana Cedis is to help facilitate the activities of the Chief Imam for the effective propagation of Islam.

Alhaji Mubarak said he was committed to the development of the Muslim community especially in the areas of education, health and youth empowerment.

He therefore appealed to the community to support programmes being initiated for the wellbeing of the people.

The MP lauded the Chief Imam for his exemplary leadership qualities which had allowed for peaceful co-existence between Muslims and other religions.

Sheikh Mumin thanked the MP for the gesture, stressing that, the Muslim community wished him well in his endeavours.**
