Municipal Assembly organises health screening for the aged

A total of 172 elderly persons in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly, have undergone a health screening exercise at the Tarkwa Government Hospital.

They were screened for malaria, blood pressure and sugar levels.

Mrs Christina Kobinah, the Municipal Chief Executive, said the screening was aimed at promoting good health and asked the beneficiaries to endeavour to take good care of themselves.

A Medical Officer at the Tarkwa Government Hospital, Dr Daniel Abeka who led the exercise, reminded them to take their health serious.

They were given free treated mosquito nets.
