Ms Anabila endorsed as CPP La-Nkwantanang Parliamentary Candidate

The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has by popular acclamation confirmed Ms Evelyn Lamisi Anabila as its parliamentary candidate for La-Nkwantanang Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.

Mr James Akoi Obeng, of the Madina/Abokobi Constituency said the constituency needed a woman to facilitate the development agenda and that Ms Anabila was the best candidate to lead the crusade.

He said since the regime of President Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the constituency had seen no meaningful development like other constituencies in the region, adding that, the constituents were tired of the two political parties; the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Obeng noted that all the major developmental projects in the country were carried out by Dr Nkrumah.

He appealed to the electorates of the area to vote for Ms Anabila as their Member of Parliament as she stands to develop the constituency.

Ms Anabila said it was about time that the electorates looked up to a woman who has the ability to develop the constituency just like how local mothers love, care and nurture their children.

She said the people of La-Nkwantanang were fed up with the electoral promises given by NDC and NPP for the past 20 years, adding that, “All the promises Dr Nkrumah gave were fulfilled”, and that the CPP was the only party which can save Ghana from her socio-economic tragedy.

Ms Anabila said the expectations of the people were very important hence they would be given the platform to forward their needs for the development of the constituency if she is given the nod.

Mr Paul Kwame Anaman, Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the CPP said: “Ms Anabila is the only candidate who filed for the position and was endorsed by popular acclamation”.
