Mpasatia chief appeals for a police station

Mpasatia (Ash), May 15, GNA – Nana Okyere Karikari Appau, chief of Mpasatia in the Atwima-Mponua District of Ashanti has appealed to the Inspector General of Police to initiate the construction of a police station to fight crime in the area.

Making the appeal through the Ghana News Agency at Mpasatia on Sunday, Nana Karikari Appau said with the current expansion of the community, physical developments were going on at newly demarcated sites leading to an increase in the population of the area. He said the existence of a police station would greatly help to check their activities of miscreants.

Nana Karikari Appau appealed to the Atwima-Mponua District Assembly to assist in the construction of a drainage system, a market and rehabilitation of the Mpasatia Secondary/Technical School. 15 May 06
