Mpaem Electoral Area needs JSS

Begoro (E/R), Oct.11, GNA- The chiefs and people in the Mpaem electoral area in the Fanteakwa District have appealed to the Ghana Education Service (GES) to establish a Junior Secondary School (JSS) in the town.

The Assemblyman for the area, Mr. Emmanuel Adika, made the appeal at the assembly’s meeting at Begoro on Friday.

Mr. Adika said the area has four primary schools but because there was no JSS, pupils in the area have to travel long distances across River Volta to attend the nearest JSS at Dedesowirako.

He said the enrolment in the four primary schools is encouraging for provision of a JSS.

Replying, the Deputy District Director of Education for Fanteakwa, Mr. M.E.A.Yeboah, said a team of officers would be sent to the area to address the problem.
